Volunteer Visitor - happy to venture out and about
About this opportunity
MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.
We have a lovely lady who would benefit from your kindness. She enjoys shopping, coffee and good conversation and would greatly benefit from your support to get out of the home and venture about.
You need to be warm, caring, reliable and be willing to commit to at least fortnightly visits for a minimum of 12 months.
Good English communication skills are required for this recipient, however volunteers with other languages willing to be matched to the same language are very welcome to enquire.
MS believes in a person-to-person approach and aspire to match you with someone local with shared interests and hobbies.

Covid-19 vaccination . Working with Vulnerable People Check .
Two referee checks conducted by the organisation.
Weekly visits are preferred or at least once a fortnight, by mutual convenience, any day of the week/fortnight with a minimum 12-month commitment requirement. The length of time for each connection to be determined by the visitor.
