Admin Support Assistant (Office-based)

About this opportunity

The Admin Support Assistant role is perfect for someone looking to build on their office-based skills and gain experience working in the not-for-profit sector. Based in Sydney CBD near Town Hall station you will be an important part of a small team who are supporting people who are at risk or, or living with, macular disease.

The key activities for this role are:

  • Database administration, e.g. updating donor or patient records, inputting client data and exporting reports. Training is provided on how to use the database.
  • Phone calls to clients to update contact information.
  • Other light administration tasks, either as needed or where you wish to assist and have the skills and experience to do so.

This role is an unpaid position that contributes to making a difference in the lives of those living with macular disease.

About you:

  • Able to provide 4-6 hours of office-based time a week over 1-2 days for six months.
  • Intermediate to strong IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, etc
  • Good written and verbal English for making phone calls and ability to communicate sensitively with vulnerable people.
  • Fast learner who enjoys working with others in a small team but also able to work independently.
  • Ability to use or willingness to learn how to use a database.
  • Attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
  • Some previous administration experience.

Additional requirements

Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *.
