Vinnies Migrant and Refugee Kids Club Volunteers

About this opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with attendees to the Kids Club through board games, reading, craft activities etc.
  • Work as a team with program leaders and other volunteers to provide feedback and suggestions for activities and improvements.
  • Ensure that duty of care requirements are met for all program participants and volunteers
  • Compliance with organisational policies and procedures, training requirements, legislation, health and safety, diversity and a commitment to quality systems and continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as required

Working with Vulnerable People Check .

Volunteers must be 17 years or older; Working with Vulnerable People Check required. First Aid certificate and Drivers Licence are desirable, but not necessary. Corporate Induction and Program Training (to be completed at the Deakin Office); Volunteer Application; Code of Conduct; Volunteer Assignment Form.

Time Required

Time Commitment: 2 hours on fortnightly Saturdays (during school term). 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm. We recommend volunteers make a 6-12 months commitment to this volunteer role as we are trying to make a long-term positive impact in the lives of young people in our region
