Are you seeking a volunteer opportunity to make a high impact contribution to the future growth and development of an established NFP?

Shoe Boxes of Love Inc has been providing disaster relief to communities across Australia for the past 13 years. We are incredibly excited to be at a critical point in our operations, and desperately need the expertise of experienced volunteers and/or Board Members to assist in the future development of our organisation.

If you can demonstrate professional experience and/or previous Board experience in one or more of the following areas, we would absolutely love to hear from you: • Strategic planning and delivery • Board governance • Partnership development • Sponsorship development • Marketing • Fundraising strategy and/or events management • Volunteer engagement • Grant writing

Successful applicants will need to undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.

Your role will require you to provide support to the Board in order to level-up our organisation by:
- Developing and planning corporate strategic direction for our NFP
- Utilising IT for correspondence (telephone calls, messages, online meetings)
- Applying exceptional communication skills
- Meeting face to face with the Board to discuss suggestions, and implement plans, and review progress
- Grow our volunteer base through engagement, training, and retention
- Secure sponsors and corporate donors
- Further develop partnerships with like-minded organisations
- Secure our financial sustainability through fundraising

*As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Voluntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance).
*Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
