About this opportunity
Volunteering with HammondCare At Home is one way you can give something back to the aged or frail in our society. Not only does volunteering have an impact on the person you spend time with, but you'll learn a lot and meet new people.
We are looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals in the Campbelltown and surrounding areas, who can sit and have a chat, reminisce and talk about topics of interest with an elderly person.
Our Clients has an Italian Heritage, Would love a weekly visiting from a Italian Speaking Volunteer for a social visit. Our Client enjoys chatting about the building industry and engineering.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the clients you are matched with.
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is an Australian Government initiative established to promote links between elderly people and their local community.

Additional requirements
Covid-19 vaccination . National Police Certificate *.
18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare • Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination will be required (Two (2) doses) •
One hour per week for 6 months or longer. We would be happy to arrange a suitable day and time.
