Seed Collection Project - Friends of the Ngoolyak
About this opportunity
Duties: • Participate in seed collection walks, identify suitable plants for seed collection, monitor progress of flowering, seed development and maturity. • Assist with collecting, processing, and germinating seeds, under the direction of seed collecting licence holders. • Assist with nursery tasks, including potting up seedlings, water management and record-keeping. • Planting out seedlings, including site preparation, weed management, setting up tree guards and follow up maintenance. Age: over 18 years old Requirements: genuine interest in the preserving and regenerating native bush through seed collection and propagation. Wear: comfortable clothes for outdoor activity.
