Board Member (Funding Committee)

Mental Health Regular - more than 6 months Adelaide SA

About this opportunity

About Us:

Talk Out Loud Australia (TOL) empowers young people to make positive life choices and actively participate in their community.

At TOL our mission is to foster the physical, mental and emotional well-being of the individual. Using motivational workshops and presentations as well as our popular camps and retreats, we raise awareness for youth mental health and suicide prevention by building resilience and hope in young people.

We rely solely on fundraising and the generosity of our inspiring volunteer team.

What we can offer:

Although a small organisation, our focus is both the people we serve and the people that support us. Without them, TOL does not exist. As a volunteer of TOL, in return for your time and skills, we will be sure to provide a positive and safe working relationship, where you will be empowered to take ownership of your duties, work around your personal commitments and give you the freedom to choose how much or how little you wish to engage with what we do. We're a passionate group of people from all over the country, with big goals and big hearts and all committed to delivering the vision of TOL. We foster a safe space and environment for you to come as you are, because that is more than enough.

Role Purpose:

We are seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our Funding Committee as a Board Member. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate financial guidelines and processes are in place, designing accurate financial reports, identifying income generation opportunities, and establishing ethical fundraising guidelines. You will also maintain relationships with donors, granting agencies, and sponsors, and identify potential sources of funds and resources. By fulfilling these responsibilities, you will help Talk Out Loud Australia to achieve its financial objectives and sustain its operations. This is a voluntary position and requires a commitment of approximately 10-15 hours per month.

  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
