Food Service Assistant for Disability Program

Disability Services Regular - more than 6 months Robina QLD

About this opportunity

We need your help with food preparation and service during the Friday program. The program runs from 9am to 1:30pm. Check-In opens at 8:30am and Kitchen duties start from 9am.

You will be able to help with:

  • Food preparation for morning tea (incl. coffee/tea)
  • Dishing out lunch meals (cooked food is supplied by the onsite Cafe kitchen)
  • Attending to the BBQ on BBQ days (once or twice a month)
  • Food service/waiting to tables for morning tea and lunch
  • Collecting crockery and cleaning up tables after meals
  • Dishwashing, few items manually, mostly using the commercial dishwasher

All our volunteers who work with programs serving vulnerable people or children need to hold or apply for a blue card. The blue card either needs to be applied for through Newlife or, if you are already a blue card holder, your card needs to be linked to Newlife Care. We will provide a link to a blue card onboarding form to ensure the correct process can be started.

Reimbursement

Catering related purchases, will be reimbursed when a valid receipt is provided. Usually purchases are managed by the team coordinator or office.
