WesleyCare Tewantin is a Specialist Disability Accommodation Community making a difference to the lives of adults living with complex and high support needs. We are looking for persons with an interest in sharing their time, skills, talents, and knowledge with us while developing friendships with the people we support, sharing experiences, and encouraging them to participate. It’s heaps of fun for all involved!

Volunteers enhance the lives of our residents by:

  • Having meaningful social interactions and conversations either in a small group or with individuals
  • Assisting in or facilitating programs including art, cooking, exercise, games, music, or gardening projects
  • Facilitating beauty and pamper sessions
  • Playing a musical instrument
  • Providing social support on community outings
  • Being involved in virtual activities including individual virtual visits, or facilitating virtual tours (galleries, zoos, travel, museums, etc) online
  • General support to the Community Access Facilitators to develop and implement community access experiences
  • Other skills or interests that you may be interested in sharing with us.

Our volunteer roles are suitable for people who have well-developed interpersonal skills and a caring and empathetic manner.

Volunteer times are generally available between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday unless specified.

All our volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof they have received their COVID-19 vaccinations before they are registered in their role.
