About this opportunity

Located in the heart of Dandenong, the Greater Dandenong Volunteer Resource Service supports people looking to volunteer, to find a role that suits them as well as supporting organisations to find and recruit volunteers.

The purpose of the Volunteer Information Officer's role is to interview potential volunteers and make appropriate referrals to organisations who are seeking those volunteers, as well as some administration work. You should enjoy communicating and meeting with new people, have basic interviewing skills, and intermediate computer skills.

Tasks include:

  1. Interview potential volunteers
  2. Link volunteers with appropriate organisations and positions
  3. Contact organisation via phone or email to discuss referral and make appointments
  4. Facilitate completion of paperwork e.g. application forms and spreadsheets to accurately capture data.
  5. Follow up with referred volunteers and update spreadsheet
  6. Complete administrative tasks
  7. Report regularly to the Outreach Manager
  8. Other duties as required


Additional requirements

National Police Certificate *. Working with Children Check *.

9:00 am to 3.30pm pm Monday, Tuesday or Thursday.
