We are looking for a volunteer who can assist with a range of woodworking activities as well as help in other areas of Therapy and Support Services as required. As an Activity Assistant, you will be providing instruction and supporting clients in facilitating skill development as well as participating in their chosen woodwork project. You are also responsible for keeping the equipment in good working order and report any worn or unsafe equipment to the Coordinator. You will also assist with the storage of equipment and other housekeeping duties. Also, observing all relevant policies, standards, regulations and legislation.
Additional requirements
Driver's Licence (C) . National Police Certificate *.
1. Knowledge of the impact of disability on the life of a person living with disability and their family.
2. Experience offering clients with vision loss sport, recreation and leisure services.
3. Ability to demonstrate and assist client in safe and correct practices.
4. Experience in sport, recreation and leisure activities (preferably including arts, craft and manual arts).
5. Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment
Desirable
1. Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
