About Auburn Youth Centre
Auburn Youth Centre Inc. (AYC) is an independent, non-profit organisation creating pathways to success for young people aged 12-24 in Western Sydney. We have a successful 35 year history of change making in the community.
AYC is located in Wyatt Park in the Cumberland LGA. Our area is one of the most culturally diverse in Sydney and experiences high levels of socio-economic disadvantage. We strive towards the vision of “a connected community where all young people can pursue their dreams and fulfil their potential”. In 2023 we supported over 1750 people born in 65 countries.
Our programs and activities include drop-in services, counselling, casework, educational outreach to local schools, music and arts programs, sports and community events. In 2018 we launched our own onsite café and training kitchen, which provides free hospitality training to disadvantaged youth. We are presently negotiating to become an RTO and build greater connectivity with Corporate Australia.
Our programs are flexible and change to meet the needs of the community.
