Assisting our local youth with barriers gain their drivers license by providing the opportunity to complete their required 50hrs of supervised driving hours.

We are now looking for Youth Mentor volunteers to be part of the PCYC Drive to the Future Program. PCYC exists so that young people at risk across WA have a safe place to go somewhere they can feel at home, make friends and do things that young people should do. The Regional Youth Driver Education (RYDE) Program is a initiative in need of driving mentors to support youth without support in making their dream become a reality.

The Western Australian Police and Community Youth Centres (Inc.) (WA PCYC) is looking for a dedicated and passionate professional to take up the exciting and challenging role of Bus Driver at Midland PCYC.

RYDE is a program to support young people facing barriers in obtaining their license to complete 50 legitimate hours of quality supervised practice in a safe vehicle and a safer attitude towards driving. All young people involved in the program will have gone through requirements to ensure basic driving ability and will be provided mentoring in order to complete the 50 hours of compulsory supervised driving.

The position involves initially training as a Train Guard, and then gradually taking on the duties of a Train Driver.

We are looking for driving mentors for young novice drivers aged 16 to 25 who have barriers to completing their 50 'log book' hours to obtain their driver's license. A caring and non-judgmental approach and an ability to build a positive rapport whilst promoting safe road use are vital. A car is provided

The Pilbara RYDE Program provides young people (16-25 years) who live, work or study in the City of Karratha with the opportunity to complete their 50 hours of supervised driving with a Volunteer Driving Mentor. Volunteering as a Driving Mentor may offer a rewarding experience through sharing tangible skills which serve to directly assist disadvantaged young people.
