    Ladies of Lebanese and Iranian background who speak Arabic and/or Farsi. This is a feel-good role assisting people from your own ethnic community. The Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) is about reducing loneliness for elderly people through the introduction of a Community Visitor who shares the person's interests and/or background. Visits are usually once a week for a couple of hours with the hope a friendship will blossom.

    Volunteers visit elderly person/s for the purpose of friendship. Volunteers are matched with seniors experiencing loneliness and isolation based on shared interests and/or backgrounds. Visitors make a huge difference to people’s lives, whilst at the same time making dear friends. Visits can be coffee and chat, board games or card games, attending a local special interest club or group, lunch, shopping trips or a movie.
