The Aged Care Program Assistant supports the Line Manager facilitating activities and providing companionship, as well as quality customer service to residents. Attention to maintaining a safe, hygienic, and healthy work environment is critical.

Together, Retail Assistants play a key role in fostering a culture of inclusiveness and community spirit amongst the team, which in turn enhances the customer experience in the store.

The process of selling items in store all starts with Retail Sorters. They play a key role in quality control, checking donated items and determining their suitability for sale. Nothing is sold without the Retail Sorter’s discerning eye for detail, their strong sense of order and good presentation, as well as their knowledge of designer brands and collectable items.

Administrators of Volunteers are key in the smooth running of Salvation Army services and programs, providing relief for Corps Officers and frontline staff so they can focus their attention towards our community members and customers. The role supports a variety of volunteer-related administration activities such as contacting volunteers, data entry, filing, preparing of spreadsheets, as well as assistance with onboarding volunteers and record keeping.

The volunteer Doorways Storeroom Assistant works actively during and outside of community opening hours to ensure material aid supplies are available for community members to collect. Working behind the scenes in a small team this role supports the important work of the local Doorways site with physical strength and a flair for presentation.
