Telelink Facilitator volunteers help support one of the longest running programs to assist people that are blind or low vision to live the life that they choose. The program provides special interest group discussion's for blind and low vision people all around Australia to interact with one another via phone. The volunteer Facilitator is charged with connecting the groups on a regular connection schedule, promotes positive communication between the participants and adds to the discussion.

Telelink Connectors and admin support volunteers help support one of the longest running programs to assist people that are blind or low vision to live the life that they choose. The Telelink program provides special interest group discussion's for blind and low vision people all the way around Australia to interact with one another via phone with a volunteer facilitator. The connection volunteer is charged with connecting the groups on a regular connection schedule.

Our blind and low vision Technology staff require assistance getting to appointments, and any small assistance with technology such as reading pop-ups or unpacking equipment. With this role, you know you will be making positive change with every appointment from a community and team that will be happy to have you join their team.

Support a client with reaching their goal of running a marathon by the end of the year. The ideal volunteer will help support the client who is low vision around the gym floor. The volunteer will support the client with weights, putting weights away, obtaining weights/equipment. The client has their own program in place and can help guide their requirements and goals along the way.

Facilitate a gentle 30 minute exercise session with our established Recreation group of clients. The groups currently run on a Monday and Thursday 10am to 2pm . We are ideally hoping a volunteer could facilitate a group fitness session between 10.30am and 11.00am at our state of the art Kooyong facility. We will supply the necessary equipment we just need you and your creativity to make this group fun, beneficial and encouraging for our clients to participate in light weight exercise.
