Topics of scouts, bikes, beach, babies, families, tools, shed and cars bring out memories and smiles and just so easily brightens days Basic understanding of hand washing hygiene needed. Many residents have limited or no contact with family and friends, and a volunteer greatly reduces isolation and increases well-being

    Couple of spare hours once a week? Our Occupational Therapy and Dementia teams will welcome your volunteer help at any time but particularly in late afternoon - we call it sundowning. Residents need a one on one focus at this time as they may become more restless or insecure. Your companionship and kindness will be valuable, as you engage in conversation and calmly hold a hand.
