Wesley Mission Queensland’s Elorac Place Community Centre is looking for volunteer Kids Club Activity Assistants to help set up the Kids Club program and facilitate activities to make it a fun and safe space for those attending the centre on Wednesdays between 2.00pm to 4.00pm.

Come along to our Play and Learn Playgroup at Moorditj Kulungar Kwinana. This session provides learning through play opportunities and a safe space for children and families to connect. The Playgroup is for children aged 0 – 4 years led by our Aboriginal Resource Worker, we provide opportunities for Aboriginal families who visit us to learn about the first 3 years of a child’s life and prepare them for school.

The volunteer will assist with the early literacy program Paint Bunbury REaD which encourages everyone to "talk, read, sing, rhyme, yarn, draw and play with children every day from birth". We provide lost child stops and family meeting points, which act as a trusted meeting place and provide safe refuge for children who become lost. They are also a point for parents to collect free Constable Care safety wristbands to write their contact details on in case of an emergency. Our service increases community safety and reduces risk and trauma for children attending popular events.
