We are looking for volunteers in the role of Support Worker. The role requirement is to help facilitate and engage in the group program for people whose lives have been impacted by drug and or alcohol addiction.

We are looking for Volunteer mentors to be matched with young people engaged in counselling at Youth Focus. These mentors will provide a positive role model in a young persons life, helping them to build confidence and skills with the community setting.

We are currently looking for PARENT PEER VOLUNTEERS to facilitate family peer support groups to parents and families in the following areas: Fremantle; Thornlie; East Perth; Mandurah and Midland. You may also be interested in providing telephone support to parents calling the service in distress on our telephone roster. As our service provides PEER SUPPORT, It's ESSENTIAL you have lived experience in this area.

Have you had to deal with the loneliness, isolation, stigma and shame; the constant worry of not knowing where they are or if they're safe; the financial burden of paying for treatment or paying off dealers?

The Family Drug Helpline provides information, support and referrals to people who have someone in their life using alcohol or other drugs. The helpline is staffed by volunteers. This is a peer support role, fulfilled by people who have personal experience of being impacted by someone’s substance use. This lived experience is the key selection criteria.

Youth Focus delivers frontline services and education programs which aim to reduce symptoms associated with suicide, depression, anxiety and self-harm, and build long-term mental wellbeing to help young people reach their full potential.
