The Inala Multicultural Festival is a FREE one-day-only event, available to families in our local community and surrounding areas. It combines multicultural performances, rides, great food and diverse stalls. We are looking for Volunteer Mentors to assist young people to develop a positive sense of self and increase connections with their community. All young people eligible for the program have lived in Out of Home Care through the Child Protection system and have experienced significant challenges in their childhood. The mentoring program is designed to provide young people with more community support and connections and to assist them to thrive in their adulthood.

You will be matched with families and tasks based on your experience, skills and interests and the family’s needs. We would like you to commit for 12 months and to be flexible when volunteering. The support you are expected to give will vary from family to family and may change during your time with us. We will provide you with adequate training and supervision.

PCYC Queensland’s Braking the Cycle program supports young people to complete their mandatory 100 hours of supervised driving in a safe and suitable vehicle with a volunteer mentor. The vehicles are kindly donated by the community.
