As a HammondCare Afternoon Tea Volunteer, you'll be helping residents enjoy a variety of activities at our onsite engagement space 'The Hub'. Boroondara Cooks is a meal sharing and community-strengthening program that supports older residents (Diners) who live in their own home, however aren’t always able to cook for themselves. The program connects community members (Volunteer Cooks) who are happy to share an extra portion of their home cooked meal with an older neighbour on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. The Diner appreciates a regular home cooked meal delivered to them and a friendly face to say hello.

Volunteers required in our dementia specific Activity Centre's. Key duties can include the following, assisting our Activity Officers with activities, assistance with preparing meals, serving of meals, general kitchen duties, becoming a bus host on our Community Transport bus, which would involve transporting clients to and from Centre. If there is a particular role you are interested in, then that is completely up to you.
