The Department for Child Protection Volunteer Driver would transport children and young people to and from family contact, appointments and may also assist with learner driver training. Some out of hours, long distance and overnight travel may be required.

Volunteering in this role will enable more families of Kids First to access our therapeutic services safely and affordably, and in a supportive and comfortable environment. Lots of training and support will be offered in this important NEW volunteer program!

Located in our Ronald McDonald Family Room at Perth Children's Hospital, our Froomies provide support for families using this facility.

Our Dinner Squad provide assistance to our Nedlands House during the busy dinner time period.

Through supervised driving sessions with a Volunteer Driving Mentor, Learner drivers of refugee background have the opportunity to work towards completing their 75 hours of driving experience and gaining their P Plates. Volunteering in the program is a valuable way you can help learner drivers reach this life-changing goal.

Key responsibilities We provide a home library service for community members who are unable to attend the library to select their own items. Home Library Service Couriers support this service by visiting clients in their homes to deliver and return bags of library items. SchoolKits for Congo seek Student Advocates to invite their own school communities to engage in meaningful and rewarding global giving. Advocates will present the program to decision-makers, show them the positive impact that involvement can have on both givers and receivers, and connect them with the resources necessary to complete the first gift cycle. Advocates may also assist with local publicity for the event. Advocates may be current school students or recent graduates.

Play a vital role in the maintenance of the ASWC's Food Pantry service. The primary task is to ensure that the ASWC foodbank is replenished weekly, via driving trips to Foodbank and Secondbite, in order to provide for vulnerable people in the community.
