Two positions on the Albany Cemetery Board are available to be filled. The positions, which are for 5 year terms and commence on 1 July 2021. The Board is responsible for the care, control & management of the Albany Cemetery and members are required to attend Board meetings and to be active & willing to participate in Board projects and decisions. Meetings on the 4th Wednesday of the month commencing at 4pm in the Cemetery Chapel and last about an hour. Additonall time commitment varies.
Friends of Memorial Park and Allambie Park Cemeteries are looking for new members to assist them with their mission. Interested people could be involved in various activities from compiling guides, arranging guided tours, helping maintain the website or helping raise funds. Volunteers are also needed for busy bees at the cemeteries.

Night Owl Volunteers are responsible for assisting families of Ronald McDonald House SA with requests, questions and concerns - between the hours of 6pm and 7am. This is a Passive Overnight Role. Volunteers are provided with their own secure ensuite unit. Volunteers have the opportunity to engage with families and involve themselves in additional Programs which may also be running.

Provide postnatal support to new mothers who may be living regionally without the support of family and close friends. Provide care for mothers who may have experienced loss/grief. Company, food shop, dishes, load of washing, cooked meal, babysit so that mum can eat, sleep or have a shower. Help to coordinate and attend appointments and connect new mothers to R U OK MUM resources.
