Volunteer Home Visiting aims to empower families and enhance their social inclusion through building their confidence and connection to their community with the support and companionship of a volunteer. Families are based across the Gold Coast and matching is based on volunteers' location and family/carers interests, availability and experience and the goals identified by the family. The Family Drug Helpline provides information, support and referrals to people who have someone in their life using alcohol or other drugs. The helpline is staffed by volunteers. THIS IS A PEER SUPORT ROLE, filled by people who have personal experience of being impacted by someone’s substance use. This lived experience is the key selection criteria.
