The Volunteer Tutor Scheme is a program that helps migrants and refugees who are unable to attend AMEP English classes, with one on one lessons for 1 hour per week. Anyone can become a volunteer tutor, even if you’re not a native English speaker. All you need is confidence in English, access to transport and the desire to help others learn. Here is your chance to make a difference! You will be able to achieve this by organising and preparing a weekly/fortnightly/monthly meal for people who may be experiencing, (or who are at risk of) homelessness as well as other vulnerable groups in the community.
