As a HammondCare Life Story Writing Volunteer, your listening and writing skills will allow people who are living in our Residential Care Home at North Turramurra express precious aspects of their life. Your volunteer role is to capture, share, and record a person’s life stories, memories, and messages for loved ones. These biographies are then printed and presented to the Resident and/or resident’s family.

As a HammondCare Afternoon Tea Volunteer, you'll be helping residents enjoy a variety of activities at our onsite engagement space 'The Hub'. Fortnightly visits will see you helping set up for a mini movie session, hosting a quiz or even serving some treats for afternoon tea to name a few. The other lady lives in her own home and is very lonely. She is 92 and would love to chat over a cuppa.

We are currently looking for Greek speaking volunteers for aged care facilities in Clayton and Oakleigh. These residents are socially and culturally isolated and would benefit greatly from regular contact by a visitor/friend. Regular contacts or visits have a positive impact in reducing social isolation and improving the well-being of the resident.

We have a male client in Ormond who loves to chat about ideas, books, music and national and international affairs. Our Client is well read and loves listening to music, and he would love to spend an hour a fortnight with a volunteer with whom he can chat over a coffee or a gentle walk. If you are able to commit to weekly or fortnightly visits (weekends are fine), and can easily visit Ormond, please express interest below!!

Currently we have a male client in Caulfield North who has many interests including gardening, walking around gardens, playing chess, pottery work, and chatting about his life. Our client would enjoy the company of a caring, reliable and empathetic volunteer with good communication skills and an ability to commit to weekly or fortnightly visits.
