Love books? Love sharing your passion for reading? The Footpath Library is Australia's only free mobile library, and our books are a gift to those who have difficulty accessing good quality reading material. We're looking for volunteers who can support our service delivery on a monthly basis, mostly during business hours in the week. Locations are Newtown, Waterloo, South Marrickville (daytime) and Sydney CBD (evenings)

We have a range of exciting artefacts that have been recently donated and need to be photographed and uploaded to our museum collection. If you have your own photography equipment and are interested in supporting this project, please get in touch.

We are excited to be expanding the Sir Donald Bradman research library collection with a donation of a significant personal collection in 2024. We are looking for someone to assist with the organisation and cataloguing of this new collection. We are also looking for assistance with the establishment of research library loan partnerships and processes within our broader library network and research librarian services on an ad-hoc basis.

We are embarking on the digitisation of a large historical collection of photographs into the museum collection. This will involve organising, scanning and saving photographs from the archives, and carefully returning to archives. Get in touch if you would like to have a rare glimpse into history and a hand in making these memorial snapshots accessible to an international audience. This could be an ongoing opportunity.

Looking for volunteer for our bookshop at Riverton Forum - we're in a kisok. Learn retail whilst helping us raise funds - 80.4 cents from each dollar goes back to the programs to help children in need.

Toy Library assistance in one of the most cultural diverse suburbs of Sydney. Helping parents and grandparents who care about their children's education. Contributing to the early development and settlement of children under 6 years old. Helping them reach the important milestones before attending school in a fun and inclusive way. Some of our members have children with special needs.

They rely heavily on the generosity of their local community members so that the children attending have a safe and congenial learning environment. If you want to help children and young people reach their true potential, we want to hear from you. You will support students, teachers and schools in Primary and Secondary settings in this dynamic volunteer role. Working one-to-one with children or in small groups, you will help students to further develop their literacy and numeracy skills, as well as being a friendly and positive adult role model to them.
