We are excited to be expanding the Sir Donald Bradman research library collection with a donation of a significant personal collection in 2024. We are looking for someone to assist with the organisation and cataloguing of this new collection. We are also looking for assistance with the establishment of research library loan partnerships and processes within our broader library network and research librarian services on an ad-hoc basis.

We are embarking on the digitisation of a large historical collection of photographs into the museum collection. This will involve organising, scanning and saving photographs from the archives, and carefully returning to archives. Get in touch if you would like to have a rare glimpse into history and a hand in making these memorial snapshots accessible to an international audience. This could be an ongoing opportunity.

An exciting volunteering opportunity exists with Dementia Australia at the Cedar House Dementia Support Group on the Gold Coast. Volunteers along side staff get to support clients in a person-centred way, involving them in a variety of interesting activities that they are passionate about. Mernda Repair Café will be the first community Repair Program for the community of Whittlesea hosted at the Mernda Community House and outdoor community space. The position purpose is to document the Repair Cafe events. To capture the fun on day, the wins for the day and celebrate our volunteer Repairers, Event volunteers and the Whittlesea community as a whole. We need great video footage to help document our program’s journey, clips used for publicity on social media and reports.
