The Arana Hills Respite Centre is currently looking for volunteers to assist in our various activities with older persons and people with a disability, including playing table games, arts and crafts, going on outings, sharing stories, cooking, or sharing your talents - there is something for everyone!

If you enjoy being with our Seniors and giving back to the community, this may suit you. Lunch Provided. 8.30am - 4 pm Monday - Friday. We are looking for friendly people who are interested in making a difference in the lives of our community’s seniors by regularly visiting and being a social friend to individuals living in residential aged care in Murrumba Downs. W are currently welcoming volunteers to visit a Serbian lady living in an Aged Care. This resident would love to receive social visits with people who speak and are familiar with the Serbian culture.

VMCH is currently welcoming volunteers to engage with residents in aged care, who have personalised activities which has been tailored to meet their individual interests, cultural background, and physical abilities, you would provide conversation and assistance to create a wonderful interlude which can enhance a resident's day.

Volunteers required in our dementia specific Activity Centre's. Key duties can include the following, assisting our Activity Officers with activities, assistance with preparing meals, serving of meals, general kitchen duties, becoming a bus host on our Community Transport bus, which would involve transporting clients to and from Centre. If there is a particular role you are interested in, then that is completely up to you.

Our Social Connections Program supports people aged over 65 to get back to the things they love.
