You will be helping people to connect through regular conversations. We provide connection with other services like Centrelink, food services, housing, healthcare and counselling.

We are looking for Volunteer Mentors to assist young people to develop a positive sense of self and increase connections with their community. All young people eligible for the program have lived in Out of Home Care through the Child Protection system and have experienced significant challenges in their childhood. The mentoring program is designed to provide young people with more community support and connections and to assist them to thrive in their adulthood.

Maroondah Winter Shelter provides a safe and warm place for homeless males to stay overnight during the winter months, 7 nights per week. Home cooked meals are provided. As a volunteer you would be making a difference to the lives of those who have been sleeping rough. Being able to listen, show care and treat our guests with dignity and compassion is what we ask for.

Can you help to heat up meals, serve meals or do dishes? Chat with guests and share a meal with them. Our guests are isolated or financially disadvantaged people who need some extra support with meals and being with community.
