Mt Pleasant Primary School canteen is hoping to find canteen volunteers during school term. Duties are fairly straightforward and will involve preparing food for recess & lunch, collating orders, washing dishes and serving at recess & lunch. No previous experience is needed. The brave solo refugee Mums who make SchoolKits for Congo also make beautiful buntings from bright African fabrics, and teach other Mums to do the same. We sell them in Australia and return the proceeds to the makers so that they can pay the school fees for their children to be educated. We are looking for stallholders who could add a product to their range, and for representatives who can show buntings to potential retailers and customers.

Cairns Children’s Museum is a not-for-profit whose mission is to offer hands-on, interactive, educational exhibits and play spaces for the children in Cairns and surrounds. Our aim is to become a space that inspires children to play, explore, wonder and be curious about all things STEAM. We have a range of exhibits and interactive experiences for children to engage with, including a wind tunnel, the longest kaleidoscope in the southern hemisphere and our imaginative play area, Tiny Town!

The Knox Toy Library Inc provides the perfect alternative to buying a room full of toys that are no longer played with. But we need some volunteers to help us with our Friday and Saturday borrowing sessions.
