The Event Volunteer is the friendly and welcoming face of Genealogy SA at events and workshops both on site at the Genealogy Library and at other venues. He/she is responsible for promoting the Society as an organisation of choice in regard to family history research and membership. The role also involves assisting with the set-up for the event, such as setting out chairs, laying out brochures, meeting guests and checking registration lists as guests arrive.

Gain experience in events and program delivery assisting our team to deliver a wide range of programs at award winning Bankfoot House Heritage Precinct. From education programs with local schools, to performances and exhibitions, heritage talks and festivals. You will gain experience in project development, event delivery and be actively involved on-site assisting with set-up and pack-down, program delivery, ticketing and registration, food and beverage and visitor engagement.

HorsePower Hills has provided recreational horse riding sessions for children and young people with diverse abilities for over 40 years. This is an exciting time for HorsePower Hills as it progresses building a new riding centre and expanding its riding programs to meet community need. The Abbey Museum welcomes thousands of visitors to our Medieval Festival to experience life in the Middle Ages in Europe and the Middle East, from 600 to 1600AD. A Joust Coordinator is required to assist with organising the joust volunteers in the months leading up to and at the Abbey Medieval Festival to be held on 5,6 & 7 July 2024.

We need someone to help at the Museum with Group tours bookings. follow up with the tours for tour numbers. This is an important job in the Museum as a Group tours are a major fundraiser activity. Catering for our Tour groups, purchasing and preparing food at home bring to the Museum on the day. Help with setting up for the tour. After the tour tiding up making sure the kitchen is clean and tidy. Re-imbursement for money spent. Some previous experience would be beneficial.
