Using your own vehicle, assist those in the community who can't drive due to illness or circumstance get out for medical appointments, funerals, shopping, exercise, social connection. Some drives may be only 100 metres and some as far as 100 kms. Drivers are never asked to do more than they are comfortable with. Some reimbursement is available to cover petrol costs. Drivers are kept connected with a newsletter and monthly morning teas.
We need volunteer drivers who can transport vulnerable people in our community so they can access essential services like medical appointments, shopping, exercise programs. Drivers who use their own cars are reimbursed per kilometre they drive, if they choose to take payment. Driving is a very rewarding role and we provide training and ongoing mentoring.
