Diabetes Victoria is holding a diabetes education event for the Vietnamese community on May 28, and looking for Vietnamese speaking volunteers to provide in-language support to attendees. We are looking to superstar volunteers to help us with all things MS Brissie to the Bay bike ride, in particular photographing the event. This event supports almost 5,500 Queenslanders living with MS and other neurological conditions, and we cannot pull off events like this without our amazing volunteers.

We are seeking participants aged 18-70 years who: 1) have chronic fatigue syndrome, 2) are experiencing ongoing fatigue and symptoms following COVID-19 infection, or 3) have had COVID-19, but are not experiencing ongoing symptoms.

Join Local Land Services and Clean4Shore to remove waste from our precious waterways, protect migratory bird habitat, and contribute towards the Australian Marine Debris Initiative citizen science program. Working on the Hunter River, our team sets out in Clean4Shore’s barge to collect debris from mangroves and tidal flats. The debris collected will be sampled to add records to the AMDI database before sending to landfill.

BeachPatrol & Love Our Street litter collection volunteer groups operate in 40+ postcodes. Groups meet monthly to pick up litter from local beaches, streets or parks and meet like-minded people who are passionate about preserving our environment, wildlife, marine life & ecosystems. The groups log their data in the LitterStopper app, which feeds into the DEECA LitterWatch database. We advocate for changes to reduce litter, raise awareness & support the government in tackling issues.
