Our Community Shed is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support people of various capabilities to learn and engage in basic woodwork, carpentry and other activities.

Our Technical Volunteer designs, makes or modifies aids and equipment for people with a disability or the frail aged when there is no commercial solution available. Volunteers undertake project work in their own homes and sheds using their own tools. This volunteering opportunity is also perfect for retired or still working trades people, engineers or those who simply like to tinker and invent at home.

The Hyland House Respite Centre in Petrie is currently looking for volunteers for our Hobby Shed to assist older persons and people with a disability in making items with wood. This includes painting and glueing. No special skills are needed, just patience and an interest in wood crafts.

As an Outreach Leader Gold Coast you will have the opportunity to manage the delivery of outreach shifts to ensure they operate as scheduled in each of the Gold Coast location. We are looking for people to join our Maintenance Team. The Capri is a heritage listed building with lots of regular maintenance tasks as well as special projects to complete. There are both skilled and unskilled tasks to complete so there's something available for anyone who would like to be involved, from sweeping and changing light bulbs, to major renovation and restoration projects. You can give as much or as little time as suits you. We are happy to work around your availability.
