Motor Neurone Disease Association of NSW is a not-for-profit organisation  providing information, support and education for people living with motor neurone disease, their families, friends and care givers in NSW, ACT and NT.

Our Cadet Program runs from April to October each year. It is open to kids between the age of 12 - 16. Cadets are trained in various facets of Firefighting and other skills. Teamwork and Communication are a big part of this program and we have had many of our Cadets stay on after turning 16 to become Active Volunteer Firefighters. Cadets may also have the opportunity to go on Camps run by the Brigade, DFES also give Cadets opportunities to go on camps.

The Volunteers primary role is to assist the participants to ride a wave! Each participant has a different disability which can either be physical, intellectual or both. Disabled Surfers Association - SA Branch assist them to enjoy the experience of surfing & ensure they stay safe & injury free in the process. A surfing background is an advantage for volunteers but not essential. However you need to be a physically fit, aged 17+ & be comfortable in the water for periods of up to 2 hours.

We are currently looking for people who are interested in responding to emergencies such as fire and road crash as well as working with the Community to identify and manage local risk.
