Legacy Brisbane supports widows and families of our servicemen and women. We are looking for two passionate, motivated volunteers to phone our older widows to check on well-being and needs in the Contact Centre at South Brisbane. There will also be administrative tasks attached to this role. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will need to be computer literate. You will not be selling, promoting or asking for money, it is purely a curtesy wellbeing call.

We are on the hunt for volunteers, aged 18+ who want to make a difference to an older person living in an aged care home. By volunteering in an aged care residential facility, you can improve the quality of life for older people who have limited contact with others and as a result are at risk of isolation and loneliness– whether for social or cultural reasons, or due to disability.

We have an opportunity for a Volunteer Visitor to visit an older person in their own home in Port Elliot, who enjoys a chat, is empathetic with good communication and listening skills and has an understanding of older people.

We are looking for passionate volunteers who would like to mentor students at primary and/or secondary schools. Volunteers should have good communication and life skills, a desire to make a difference to young peoples education and an ability to work within a school environment with a professional approach.
