Legacy Brisbane supports widows and families of our servicemen and women. We are looking for two passionate, motivated volunteers to phone our older widows to check on well-being and needs in the Contact Centre at South Brisbane. There will also be administrative tasks attached to this role. You will need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will need to be computer literate. You will not be selling, promoting or asking for money, it is purely a curtesy wellbeing call.

We are on the hunt for volunteers, aged 18+ who want to make a difference to an older person living in an aged care home. By volunteering in an aged care residential facility, you can improve the quality of life for older people who have limited contact with others and as a result are at risk of isolation and loneliness– whether for social or cultural reasons, or due to disability.

As an Inclusion Melbourne Aged Care Volunteer Visitor, you’ll spend time with someone in your local community who may be lonely or socially isolated. We're looking for caring individuals who can sit and have a chat, reminisce and talk about topics of interest with elderly people in their own homes.

Lack of transport is a common barrier for seniors to remain part of their community. Having no transport can stop them from doing the things they need to do, and leads to feelings of loneliness and isolation. If you enjoy driving, you can make a difference by helping with their transport needs to important medical appointments or social activities.

RDA is a voluntary organisation providing equine-assisted activities for people with disabilities to develop and enhance abilities through programs such as riding, dressage and carriage driving.
