Marine Rescue NSW saves lives on the water, providing 24-hour emergency response, returning thousands of boaters in trouble safely to shore every year. Every unit requires a support crew. Become a member of our fundraising team and play an essential role in the day to day operations of our unit.

As the Learning and development Officer you will be responsible for developing and implementing a program of work aligned to the G2K’s Training Strategy and Plan to build best practice in training and competency. You will also be responsible for organizing and facilitating various training programs and events as per training needs of the project.

As a volunteer Project Coordinator, you will actively assist the Project Manager and respective project professionals to support the delivery of the program and individual project objectives. You will play a pivotal role in organizing meetings, proposing improvement opportunities to current ways of doing things and building strong relationships with key stakeholders and reporting the progress of projects to all stakeholders.

Do you love visiting and talking with people? It is a small group of volunteers who visit patients on the wards who may not otherwise have any visitors. They can be formal or informal visits and planned or unplanned. Aim is to offer psychological, social and/or compassionate support. We are also recruiting for Inpatient Connectors in other areas of the South West: Manjimup, Pemberton, Bridgetown, Nannup, Boyup Brook, Donnybrook, Collie, Harvey, Margaret River, Augusta, Busselton.

When a natural disaster strikes or an emergency situation arises, DFES’s State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers can be found providing a wide range of volunteer services to help the community cope from the impact a disaster. This involves providing emergency repairs on buildings, to restoration of essential services and ferrying cargo and passengers across flood waters. Helping the community to recover by responding to natural disasters is only part of SES’ responsibility.

As an SES volunteer you will be trained to assist in the Ops and Comm's centre to cope with natural disasters including storm, floods and land searches.
