Activities include art and craft, video games, sensory play, board games, cooking and more! We are in need of people to help out with the kids and the activities. The volunteer Facilitator is charged with connecting the groups on a regular connection schedule, promotes positive communication between the participants and adds to the discussion.

The benefits of the program are wide-ranging and include health, exercise, social and self-esteem for participants. The Mover supports the dance class teacher to ensure each participant is engaged, learning and receiving valuable and personalised feedback, and can access the full benefits of the program.

Fishability assists children and adults requiring support to experience the joy of fishing with the assistance from trained and experienced volunteers and by using purpose-built motorised rods, reels and fishing rod holders and providing: Organised shore, jetty and boat based fishing activities, acts in an advocacy role in promoting inclusive participation in recreational fishing. Wheelchair accessible vessels for guided river, ocean and estuary fishing trips.

Guide and Assistance Dogs change lives. It is the independence and freedom offered by these dogs to our clients that keeps us going. Our Puppy Raisers look after an 8 to 10 week old puppy, in their home, for a period of 6 to 12 months This requires a degree of physical fitness, which includes being able to negotiate steps, walk 3-5km per day and frequent bending and lifting (up to 20kg). Puppy Raisers expose our puppies to different environments including public transport, shopping centres etc.

Western Australian Assistance and Therapy Dogs are looking for puppy raisers across WA to assist us with raising our future assistance and therapy dog prospects.

Assist a young person with a disability to access recreational activities for a few hours or one day on a regular basis, at least once each month.

The Interchange Outer East (IOE) Host Program involves carefully matching a host volunteer with a child/young adult based on mutual liking and acceptance, shared interests and availability, to share time with on a regular basis from just a few hours each month. The young person is welcomed and cared for in the hosts home and supported to make genuine friendships and social connections throughout the hosting experience.
