Meals with Impact is a not-for-profit social enterprise that empowers women from migrant & refugee backgrounds to thrive through food and opportunity. We do this through hands-on training, paid employment, and capacity building to build pathways for sustainable employment. As the Events Coordinator for Refugee Week, you will lead the planning and execution of a series of events featuring speakers, panel discussions, and performances aimed at raising awareness and celebrating the contributions of refugees to society. Your role will involve coordinating logistics, managing program development, and ensuring seamless event operations. The Event will be held in Monash City Council Area VIC 3148 on Saturday 22 June 2024

To support the RDA(NSW) Tall Timbers Centre by undertaking a range of Property Maintenance tasks.

To support the RDA(NSW) Tall Timbers Centre Equine programs by participating in tasks as directed by the Coach. Equine program assistants have a primary role to support RDA Coaches for sessions.

To support the RDA(NSW) Tall Timbers Centre by assisting with horse preparation, leading of horses in program sessions, assistance with life skills/groundwork sessions and assisting in the pack up and return of horses to the paddock.

To support the RDA(NSW) Tall Timbers Centre by being first point of contact for all visitors as well as assisting with volunteer engagement and retention.

To support the RDA(NSW) Tall Timbers Centre by assisting with overall cleaning and organising of the main building, both internal & external.

To support the RDA(NSW) Tall Timbers Centre by assisting with light gardening duties on the property. - This role is not as physically demanding as property maintenance volunteers and may be suitable to someone with physical issues which require minimal lifting or carrying of heavy items.

This extends their social network, offers them new opportunities and experiences, and provides a much needed break for their carer. Some volunteers have the young person stay at their place once a month. This also provides the young persons carer with some respite and support.

Are you looking to make a real difference in someone’s life? Volunteer with the Interchange Network of disability service providers and buddy up with a young person living with disability to spend regular time with them sharing hobbies or interests, going to the movies or a football game, or just hanging out watching your favourite shows at home.
