SAFE Hedland are looking for some enthusiastic Fundraising & Events Support Officers! You will be required to assist the Coordinator in setting up and running events throughout the year to raise money to help us pay our vet bills. You will need to have a love of animals, a love of people and your own transport.

If you have a passion for our native animals come volunteer with us. We'd love to have you on board. You will be caring for our animals, preparing their food, cleaning their environments and getting to love them all.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us collect donations in our mini dog money boxes, for our annual Street Appeal. It is such a simple and fun way to help Guide Dogs Tasmania. Funds raised will help to raise and train Guide Dogs in Tasmania to help those living with low vision, disability or illness. And yes... there will be dogs!

Cleaning up of cross country course and general help around the grounds

Our volunteer will spend time with Wild Koalas and participate in a re-vegetation project (tree planting and weed removal) to create vital Koala habitat re-vegetation.

Volunteers will be supervised and supported in all roles. Duties include, cleaning stables, filling water buckets, haying and feeding horses, grooming horses and cleaning tack. For those with previous horse experience they may have opportunites to work horses, and handle young ones.

The South Oakleigh Wildlife Shelter is a voluntary non-profit organisation that rescues, rehabilitates and releases native wildlife. Rescue and transport injured and orphaned wildlife and assist at the Shelter in this important job saving wildlife.
