We are seeking volunteers who enjoy the company of seniors, have a happy disposition, possess a current Light Rigid licence and are confident in driving an 18-seater bus. Staff will accompany the residents on outings. To enable consistency for our residents, this role is suited for volunteers who can commit 2.5 hours on a regular basis (ideally weekly, but fortnightly possible) on Thursday mornings.

A volunteer is required to support participants of our Learning2Drive program to learn the Queensland Road Rules and assist them to pass their Road Rules test and gain a Qld Learner Licence. (C)

The Hyland House Respite Centre in Petrie is currently recruiting volunteers to assist in our diverse range of weekday programs and activities, social groups, and social outings.

As you may imagine the lock down was a lonely time, so we have created some new volunteer roles to help reduce social isolation and help the elderly who live independently to reconnect back into the community.

We require volunteers to provide companionship and social support for our clients. The service provides highly valued social interaction and ensures clients remain connected to the community. You will need to enjoy spending time with people, have an easy-going personality, be a good listener and love to have a chat. ***To be referred to this role an interview with Volunteering Central Coast is required.
