Play a vital role in the maintenance of the ASWC's Food Pantry service. The primary task is to ensure that the ASWC foodbank is replenished weekly, via driving trips to Foodbank and Secondbite, in order to provide for vulnerable people in the community.
Play an essential role in the management and maintenance of the Asylum Seeker Welcome Centre Food Relief Program. Support the consumers and staff of the Centre by: picking up and organising food and material donations; assisting consumers to choose food and material items from the ASWC food bank, contacting clients to confirm food relief appointments.

The Meals Program Volunteer is required from 10.00am to 2pm every Thursday to work with staff and consumers to organise and prepare a communal lunch at the Asylum Seeker Welcome Centre. The volunteer will work autonomously and ideally have experience working in a commercial kitchen. Creativity is necessary in order to create a lunch menu using food items that are available in the foodbank during that week. Your work will offer comfort to those seeking asylum in this country.
