Maroondah Winter Shelter provides a safe and warm place for homeless males to stay overnight during the winter months, 7 nights per week. Home cooked meals are provided. As a volunteer you would be making a difference to the lives of those who have been sleeping rough. Being able to listen, show care and treat our guests with dignity and compassion is what we ask for.

We are in need of volunteers who are keen to become radio broadcasters for the community radio. If you are not confident of broadcasting - then there are various other opportunities available including - Research, Event Management, Technical Skills, Admin support and Volunteer coordination.

Volunteers are needed to offer mentoring and tutoring support to children from refugee backgrounds at their schools. Refugee children often feel isolated and anxious and subsequently withdraw from classroom participation 3 hours per week.

Our Reception Concierge Support Volunteers are the first point of contact for our clients and visitors. They work with our client services staff to welcome community members and make sure they have everything they need to make their reception and appointment waiting time as comfortable as possible.

Unpacking, sorting, repackaging, general assistance in store and in delivery area
