CUDL urgently requires cooks to prepare meals at home for distribution at our street kitchen in Whitmore Square in the city. Volunteers will prepare budget meals at home once a month for collection by one of our team of drivers. Meals will go to the growing number of people in Adelaide experiencing homelessness who, otherwise, would go hungry.

This Volunteer will offer support to the staff of Volunteer South West in various administration activities. Outer East Foodshare collects donated, surplus and rescued food and delivers it to agencies in the Outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne that help families in need. This role will take responsibility for overseeing the deliveries and food collections including responsibility for food safety The role involves overseeing a team of volunteers who will pack, unpack food and may need to re-pack food into smaller units. Must also oversee the record keeping of volumes of food handled

St Brendans provides 2 course hot lunch and shower facilities to the homeless every Friday at the Guide Hall, Watts Road Safety Bay from 11am-2pm. Volunteers can help set-up and prepare meals from 9.30am-11.30am or serve and pack-up from 11.30am-1.30pm.

Maroondah Winter Shelter provides a safe and warm place for homeless males to stay overnight during the winter months, 7 nights per week. Home cooked meals are provided. As a volunteer you would be making a difference to the lives of those who have been sleeping rough. Being able to listen, show care and treat our guests with dignity and compassion is what we ask for.

Can you help to heat up meals, serve meals or do dishes? Chat with guests and share a meal with them. Our guests are isolated or financially disadvantaged people who need some extra support with meals and being with community.

This role will take responsibility for designing, writing and uploading social media for Outer East Foodshare, in particular Facebook, Instagram and What’sApp to engage supporters, encourage donations, and to keep volunteers engaged.

Butterflies is an Op Shop run in support of Hospice. They are currently looking for people on all days, especially Monday or Wednesday and/or Friday for a three hour shift 1pm to 4pm and/or Friday morning 10am to 1pm. Duties include serving customers, sorting clothes; hanging, ironing and pricing clothes, and general shop tidying.

Computers 4 Learning (C4L) is a volunteer run not-for-profit charity organisation that refurbishes computers for a minimal fee to disadvantaged local community members and overseas (through other charity organisations).
