Maroondah Winter Shelter provides a safe and warm place for homeless males to stay overnight during the winter months, 7 nights per week. Home cooked meals are provided. As a volunteer you would be making a difference to the lives of those who have been sleeping rough. Being able to listen, show care and treat our guests with dignity and compassion is what we ask for.
Can you help to heat up meals, serve meals or do dishes? Chat with guests and share a meal with them. Our guests are isolated or financially disadvantaged people who need some extra support with meals and being with community.
Our Big Kitchen needs a volunteer front-of-house person to welcome both corporate group attendees and individual volunteers. Your presence will help make a difference by increasing customer experience and ensure that we track the correct data for us to improve the way we help the community.
