Greek speaking volunteer visitors are needed to visit socially and culturally isolated residents in an Aged Care Homes located in the City of Monash. We have many Greek residents who are very isolated. You can make a difference to someone's life and your own. Some Greek residents are in English speaking facilities and would love to speak with someone in their own language.

We have two lovely ladies in need of companionship at an aged care facility in Burwood and in her own home in Croydon. Do you have experience with Dementia? Do you enjoy spending time with the elderly? The resident at the aged care home would love to have a companion to talk to, hand massages and listen to music. She is bedbound and lonely. The other lady lives in her own home and is very lonely. She is 92 and would love to chat over a cuppa.

All Aged Care are looking for volunteer drivers to use our Fleet or your own car (reimbursement for KM's) to transport older people to/from their homes, medical appointments, social activities and respite sessions.

A lovely older lady would like a volunteer to visit her on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for around an hour on a weekly basis either chatting over a cuppa, or going for a drive (she will drive her car) to the shops or the beach. There are numerous entertainment and lifestyle activities for you to choose to engage one or two residents with and you would provide a wonderful interlude which will enhance a resident's day. We don’t need you to have experience we just want you to be an active part of our team with ideas and enthusiasm and engage with residents to provide fun and entertainment.

An older man living in his own home would like you to visit him. You must be able to converse in Greek and can play board games, chat about Greece and other places of travel, or go for a walk together. Approximately an hour a fortnight or weekly at a time to suit both of you.
