Telelink Connectors and admin support volunteers help support one of the longest running programs to assist people that are blind or low vision to live the life that they choose. The Telelink program provides special interest group discussion's for blind and low vision people all the way around Australia to interact with one another via phone with a volunteer facilitator. The connection volunteer is charged with connecting the groups on a regular connection schedule.

Down Syndrome Queensland (DSQ) is organising for our young adults with Down syndrome to attend our Challenge Weekend Camps throughout the year and require volunteers to assist us with this event. There are multiple opportunities throughout the year: we will require the volunteers to be available from 3pm Friday to approximately 12pm Sunday. Dates range however camps are usually held in March and November.

The Scuba Gym Australia provides Scuba Therapy to people with special needs. We need a fabulous and knowledgeable grant writer and fund-raiser so we can raise the amount of fun we have by getting the grants to afford more people access to our unique therapy and we can put on events to raise awareness. ***To be referred to this role an interview with Volunteering Central Coast is required. emotion21 is a program of the Inclusion Foundation, that provides Australian-first innovative dance and fitness programs for children and young adults with Down syndrome. The benefits of the program are wide-ranging and include health, exercise, social and self-esteem for participants. The Mover supports the dance class teacher to ensure each participant is engaged, learning and receiving valuable and personalised feedback, and can access the full benefits of the program.

Guide and Assistance Dogs change lives. It is the independence and freedom offered by these dogs to our clients that keeps us going. Our Puppy Raisers look after an 8 to 10 week old puppy, in their home, for a period of 6 to 12 months This requires a degree of physical fitness, which includes being able to negotiate steps, walk 3-5km per day and frequent bending and lifting (up to 20kg). Puppy Raisers expose our puppies to different environments including public transport, shopping centres etc.

Assist a young person with a disability to access recreational activities for a few hours or one day on a regular basis, at least once each month.
