Diabetes Victoria is holding a diabetes education event for the Vietnamese community on May 28, and looking for Vietnamese speaking volunteers to provide in-language support to attendees. We have 4 volunteer roles available. Responsibilities include assisting with promotion prior to the event, set-up/ pack-down of the event, supporting attendees on the day, and ensuring the event goes smoothly.

Volunteers required in our dementia specific Activity Centre's. Key duties can include the following, assisting our Activity Officers with activities, assistance with preparing meals, serving of meals, general kitchen duties, becoming a bus host on our Community Transport bus, which would involve transporting clients to and from Centre. We are looking for an compassionate volunteer who can take our lonely client out once a week. Our client loves the beach and would like someone to drive her to the beach from her house once a week. she is full of life and still wants to remain active.

You will be driving vehicle to pick up donated goods from the community, deliver goods to customer’s homes, deliver/pickup stock to/from our other Op Shops, take rubbish and unsaleable items to the local tip, load/unload the ute/truck as well as other related tasks.
